Mrs. Dana Tamez

Dana Tamez joined the Aptakisic Junior High School as Principal in August 2018. Mrs. Tamez has administrative experience from Early Childhood through High School. She served as a high school teacher and world language department chair at Jones College Prep High School and then accepted a position as Assistant Principal of Hawthorn Middle School South for four years. Most recently, Mrs. Tamez was the Principal at Winkelman school for two years. Mrs. Tamez holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin, Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning from DePaul University, and a second Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision from The University of Illinois. Mrs. Tamez is passionate about “creating a strong sense of community, encouraging innovative and engaging instruction that benefits all students, and caring for the whole child.”

Ms. Pauly earned her bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University with an LBS1 endorsement, her master’s degree in counseling from National Louis University, and a Certificate in Principal Preparation from the American College of Education. She worked as a middle school special education teacher for six years and a high school counselor for eight years. Ms. Pauly enjoys playing competitive slow-pitch softball nationally. Her favorite part about being in education is working with students fostering growth in all areas. She appreciates D102’s strong community and family atmosphere.

Ms. Maggie Bialobrzeski

Maggie Bialobrzeski joined District 102 in 2020 and is currently the Assistant Principal at Aptakisic Junior High School. Ms. Bialobrzeski has 15 years of experience in education, most of which were spent supporting multilingual students. She speaks Polish and even coached English Language teachers in Shanghai, China.  Ms. Bialobrzeski holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University, another Master’s Degree in Reading from Olivet Nazarene University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. She loves learning new things and is passionate about supporting students and staff so they can thrive in their settings.
