About EC

The mission of the Meridian Early Childhood program is to provide a comprehensive, child-centered learning environment that supports each child’s growth through developmentally appropriate, play-based experiences.

Our program prides itself on its inclusive model of education with a continuum of services that ensures all students have access to a child-centered learning environment with same-aged peers. Each classroom is supported by an early childhood teacher additionally certified in Special Education and English Language Acquisition, a classroom assistant, and a related service team (speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, and social worker). Our early childhood team works together to provide meaningful services and support to children in their least restrictive environment.

Children attend the Early Childhood Program for 2 ½ hours per day, 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) in the morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) session. Family Events and Parent Roundtables take place twice per month on Fridays.

Tuition Payment
Only children who are enrolled in the Early Childhood Program in the Paid category are required to pay tuition. Tuition is an annual fee of $4,000 for the 2023-2024 school year. The district allows families to pay the annual tuition through monthly payments.

Early Childhood Preschool tuition fee payments (Oct-May) are now live on the RevTrak website

Payment received after the 10th of each month will be assessed a $15.00 late fee.

Daily Communication with Parents
Keep up with your child’s classroom communications via Bloomz where teachers post pictures and activities. Teachers will send parents an invite during the first week of school.

How to Qualify

Children qualify for the Early Childhood Program by meeting one of the following criteria:

At-Risk: Children who are at risk for delay in one or more areas of their development without effective intervention. The qualifying factors are weighted differently depending upon severity. Other risk factors will be considered based on the Family History Survey, Home Language Survey, and At-Risk Checklist.

Special Education: Students receiving services through early intervention or identified through our screening process may be asked to participate in a more thorough evaluation with parent consent. Based on the evaluation, the school team will partner with parents to determine whether the child is eligible to receive special education services.

Paid: Children who do not qualify for either of the above eligibilities may attend as a tuition-paying student. Tuition students pay a monthly fee of $444.44. There is no reduction in tuition due to absences, vacations, or school breaks.

Note: Students must attend screening prior to completing registration. Students who are eligible for the Early Childhood Program as At-Risk or through Special Education services qualify for free and receive transportation.
